My congrats to Anna and Jenny, who won the shower chair competition for Lumex! The only girls in the competition, they worked together and got chosen from among 4 other (pratt) students (all guys) and have the chance to have their chair produced by Lumex for stores!
In other news, I, who never win any sort of raffles, won an itunes gift card for an undisclosed amount by commenting on the 'mobile mondays' iphone game review on one of the websites i subscribe to (jayisgames.com). woo!

Still swamped!
So I've been working like crazy, trying to get my tabletop designs in order (I have to have models of all my pieces- 6 or 7- by monday, I'll post a picture then) AND trying to stay on this stupid impossible diet. I am updating quickly just to say a few things.
First, here are pictures of the things I've made in ceramics. The first is the first few things I made on the wheel in like 3 years, the second is a bunch of teeeeny tiny pots i made out of one giant lump of clay, which I'd never done before.

Second, Mom is visiting this weekend! I'm excited to see the show she got tickets for, mainly because William H. Macy is in it. The diet will be hard. Oh well.
And Anna and Jenny are here! For a week! From Sweden!! They're here because they're finalists in a competition they started when they were here last semester, and they're surprising everyone by visiting in person. We're all happy to see them again so soon, we thought it would be months and months!
Also, I applied for Birthright with Tammy & Michelle yesterday/today, which took TWO AND A HALF HOURS to fill out an 8 step application because of the server clogs. But we're almost done with that now, and then we wait to see if we get in.
And I'm applying to the Copenhagen program soon, if we decide we can pay for it. And I need to get tickets to visit Heather soon! So much traveling potential, and I've never even been off this continent before!

Busy busy busy!
Just got finished making bluefoam models for Tabletop tomorrow, don't have time for a real post yet. I took pictures of the stuff I made in ceramics thus far, and i'll post those too this weekend once i don't have such a backlog of homework, and once this medical book project for work is over WHICH WILL BE TOMORROW!!! I know deb ordered like 12 copies of it for us, (theyre only printing 100 to start though...) but so I might get to keep one for my portfolio? That would be cool.
Anyway, more later.
